Continuous Improvement Manager

SPI Pharma, the world’s leading supplier of antacid actives and a manufacturer of formulated products for the pharmaceutical, nutritional, and OTC markets, seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager for its Lewes, DE site. This role is part of the Site Leadership Team and is responsible for developing the strategies, talent and training to implement continuous quality and productivity improvements. This position reports to the Site Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

We are looking for a high performing, experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to work in our Lewes, DE manufacturing site fostering an environment that enables the most efficient and effective work processes by applying Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools. Previous experience with Continuous Improvement programs is required; preferably in a manufacturing environment. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple projects and delivers on milestones and financial targets using Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies
  • Manages the project portfolio and progress reporting by ensuring projects are updated
  • Ensures Continuous Improvement is embedded in processes and in the mindset of the organization
  • Develops, deploys and manages the communication/branding and change management plan; keeps the Site Leadership Team and management fully involved through frequent communication and assures their active support
  • Prioritizes projects and resources to support Global and Local strategies and key objectives, aligned with the Site Leadership Team
  • Mentors and coaches employees on projects and use of tools
  • Supports project teams to guarantee timely delivery of agreed upon, quantifiable targets and to reach the business benefits; recognized as an internal expert and is sought out for advice and expertise

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, life sciences, business or related discipline
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience and/or certification
  • 3+ years proven success managing and executing Continuous Improvement programs in a manufacturing setting
  • Proven ability to manage and develop CI project teams
  • Ability to work in a global environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbal and written
