Location: Ideally Germany-based, hybrid role

The primary responsibility is to manage and grow SPI’s full portfolio of excipients, vaccine adjuvants, and drug delivery platforms across both new and existing customers. This role will also drive the growth and advancement of pipeline projects within the assigned European territory, including but not limited to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and grow SPI’s sales across established accounts, distributors, and new customers.
- Expand and advance pipeline through collaboration with R&D, business development, purchasing, and operations.
- Explore opportunities for Pharma Solutions projects at major pharma customers.
- Support new product introductions aligned with launch plans.
- Develop strong relationships across customer organizations in collaboration with the Regional Technical Development Manager.
- Collect and communicate customer needs, market insights, and emerging trends.
- Increase market presence through seminars, conferences, and industry events.
- Travel extensively (minimum 50%).
- Negotiate pricing and contracts; monitor competitors and market share.
- Develop and execute annual territory and global account plans.
- Submit territory sales budgets and forecasts.
- Attend trade shows and industry events.
- Maintain CRM data in Salesforce.
- Support S&OP demand planning and collaborate with Customer Service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales and business development.
- Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical development, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in parenteral, biologics, or biopharma markets preferred.
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
- Established network within top pharmaceutical accounts in the region.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities.
- Team-oriented; experienced in global and multicultural environments.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
