Magnesium Hydroxide Pastes and Gels

We manufacture a wide range of magnesium hydroxide gels and pastes varying in assay and viscosity to meet customers’ formulation needs for traditional antacid suspensions. Selecting the right grade of magnesium gel or paste allows the formulator to make a high-quality antacid at a competitive price.

Low Viscosity Gels

Flogel is a pumpable magnesium hydroxide gel. Due to its very low viscosity, Flogel requires the use of suspending agents. We also offer LV13, a pumpable aluminum hydroxide gel with a higher concentration compared to paste. Develop a cost effective antacid suspension with a pleasant mouthfeel using Flogel together with LV13.

High Viscosity Pastes and Gels

Type M magnesium hydroxide paste is ideally suited for regular-strength antacid suspensions. Due to its high viscosity, Type M yields a thick and creamy product without the need for additional thickeners or suspending agents. Type M can be used with Visco9, aluminum hydroxide paste, to create a cost effective suspension with a pleasant mouthfeel. Click below for more information.

LVM magnesium hydroxide paste is recommended for extra-strength products where a suspending agent is employed.

MG12 magnesium paste is ideally suited for regular strength antacid suspensions. MG12 has the same advantages as M, but is easier to transfer because it is pumpable. It can be delivered in drums, totes, and even bulk container trucks.
