Head of Lab (India Development Centre)

SPI is entering a critical phase of strategic Growth Execution that requires us to broaden and deepen our Technical Leadership, Expertise and Capability. We are therefore looking to hire a Scientific Leader who will be based in our Bangalore IDC facility and have the capabilities outlined below.

Technical Experience
• At least 10-15 years R and D experience in a pharmaceutical excipient Research & Development or Applications Role

• Has experience managing cultural change and ability to shape and develop a Team designed to Deliver IDC R and D 5 Year Objectives

• Strong Scientific Background in areas of material science, characterisation, oral dose form formulation and Analytical development, controlled release, and preferably softgel formulation, knowledge of parenteral/adjuvant product formulation and characterisation would be nice to have

• Scientific Mindset and Problem Solving Capability; Experience developing new methods and approaches that enable understanding and sound rationale scientific decision making

• Has managed multiple projects in various different pharmaceutical excipient, oral dose form, powder and polymer characterisation areas

• Has extensive network of contacts to enable appropriate access to technology or characterisation techniques that are required but unavailable internally at SPI
