Health and safety are at the forefront of our business model and key to our success. We prioritize safety as a shared responsibility for all employees and we foster an environment where we look after one another.

Our teams adopt the ABF Ingredients’ Safety Essentials toolkit to guide safe working practices. We invest in online training and practical exercises, equipping our employees with the knowledge and resources to make informed, rational decisions that continuously help improve the safety of their work environments.

Health and Safety Awards

SPI Pharma participates in the annual ABF Ingredients Health, Safety and Environment Recognition Awards. We celebrate individual or team performances for workplace health and safety initiatives and innovation or ideas around environmental improvements.

SPI recognizes that developing our current and future leaders is vital to our organization’s growth. SPI supports the ABFI Leadership Academy, a series of online courses which enable our people to build their skills wherever they are in the world according to individual, local and global needs.

In addition, ABF Ingredients’ two-way mentoring program allows our people to benefit from the expertise of others while sharing their own knowledge and experience.

As a business with far-reaching and complex supply chains, we recognize the important role we play in addressing the risks of modern slavery and protecting the human rights of everyone who works for us and in our supply chain.

We hold Silver EcoVadis certification which assesses a range of indicators related to fair labor, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. This reflects the responsibility we take for our part in the entire value chain. By adopting ABF’s Supplier Code of Conduct, we require all suppliers to adhere to ethical and sustainable business principles including zero-tolerance of modern slavery-related issues.
